Captain Howard is a United States Coast Guard certified Master Captain and has been navigating Tampa Bay's waters for several years. His passion for the water began as a child when he would often inquire about marine taxidermy on the walls of his grandfather’s home. Additionally, some of the most significant memories of his late grandfather and himself include trolling for striped bass on the waters of Truman Lake, Missouri. Fishing and boats have been heavily embedded within him since.

 

As a teenager, he began deep sea fishing internationally and quickly discovered how incredible it was to fight and land sailfish and marlin seemingly larger than life. He has since fished and competed in tournaments in exotic locations such as Alaska, Key West, Panama, Belize, Cancún, Isla Mujeres, and even the world-famous, annual Bisbee Black and Blue marlin tournament in Cabo San Lucas.

 

In the last decade, he became a father to two. Although this added two mates to the skipper’s operation, it ultimately meant travelling less and seeking more ways to spend quality time with family. He now resides full time in the Tampa Bay area and focuses his business model on scuba and leisurely charters for those who would like to experience everything Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico have to offer. The days are tailored to the client’s needs, no questions asked, so long as the plan is seaworthy and enjoyable for everyone. Kick back, relax, and enjoy the Florida scenery. Captain Howard is also a licensed Florida Critical Care EMT-Paramedic and a proud member/supporter of the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Florida. His educational background includes degrees in Pre-Medical Health Sciences, Emergency Medicine, Criminal Justice, and Juris Doctor.
